Fish Specialties

Sofia, Sante’s daughter that together with her mother run the restaurant, tells us more about the fish – “Here at Cannavota, the most particular of our traditions is Fish. We can almost say that fish, as restaurant dish, in Rome was brought by my father. The romans back in the days, if they wanted to eat fish, they had to go towards to the coastline and nobody ever thought or expected to eat fish in the city. Instead, thanks to my father’s experience, here people could eat the same fresh fish cooked with incredible ability like in the best restaurants in Ostia. He always went himself to choose the best fish, today we still do the same.”
